And that you can do from the comfort of your home or office. No need to go to the roadside or taxi park to do that. And you don't have to store the number of any taxi drivers. You don't have too.
Not sure you have heard about Uber. Or maybe you don't really know much about how it works. Let me explain a little before I tell about how you can get your free ride.
Uber, an American international transportation network company, developed a mobile app that lets you flag or get a taxi ride from wherever you are. They work in partnership with taxi educated drivers and also have their taxi drivers as well. These taxis are not coloured and pretty clean as they don't use any vehicle older than 2008. And yes, their cabs always have seat belt and air condition. Comfort!
They are not referred to as "Everyone's private driver" for no reason. So if you want to go somewhere and need to show class - a party, a presentation etc., Uber gives you that required hype. Or maybe you are stranded somewhere where you can't get a taxi - late night out, a friend's place or a place you are not so familiar with, just get on their mobile app and get a taxi. That's all.
Remember the last time your taxi man wasn't around and you had to get somewhere urgently? Well that won't happen with Uber. They have a pool of drivers, so you don't have to store any driver's details anywhere. Uber does that for you. There is usually a taxi very close to you, so no time wasting.
Don't have physical cash with you? It doesn't matter. Your Uber account is linked to your bank via your debit/ATM card.
And you need not worry much about security when riding in any of their taxis. They have details of their drivers and thus you can easily track the taxi you used. Besides, whenever you flag/call a taxi, you get to see the photograph, name and vehicle registration number of the driver coming to pick you before he/she arrives, so you don't get to enter the wrong one.
